We often turn right to go left! Referred to as the “Michigan Left Turn”, cars turn right at an intersection, go down the street a couple of hundred yards, then do a 180 degree U-turn to head into the desired direction.

The Scottish rock group Bay City Rollers is named for Bay City, Michigan following a “scientific” dart toss at a map of the United States… look it up!
